The Andhra Pradesh Beverages Corporation Limited (APBCL) was established in the year 1986 as a fully owned undertaking of the Government, with the main objective of supplying hygienic packed arrack to the licensees and is incorporated under Companies Act, 1956. The Corporation had set up 22 field units for carrying arrack operations at various district locations with a total capital outlay of Rs. 32.65 crores, which includes buildings and civil works. The various fixed assets like Plant and Machinery other than buildings valued at Rs. 24.70 crores were transferred to the Corporation in the form of Debt and Equity in the ratio of 2:1. The authorised share capital of the Corporation is Rs.10 Crores and the paid up share capital as on date is Rs.833.37 lakhs from 1-1-94 the corporation took over the IMFL wholesale trade in the state. The erstwhile Arrack Bottling units are converted into IML Depots for the wholesale trading activities of IMFL.
Andhra Pradesh Foods is a Government of Andhra Pradesh Enterprise an ISO 22000:2005 certified company functioning under the auspices of Andhra Pradesh Nutrition Council, a society which was set up in the year 1976. The said Council is a body registered under the Societies Act with the object to manufacture and supply of nutritious foods to children, pregnant women & lactating mothers and such other categories of vulnerable segments of the population and to provide better nutrition to the needy. The International Organizations like CARE and UNICEF also assisted the Andhra Pradesh Nutrition Council in the past by providing certain raw materials and food processing machinery
Andhra Pradesh Forest Development Corporation limited came into being on 16.6.1975. It has been established under Companies Act on the recommendations of the National Commission on Agriculture to develop and improve the productivity of degraded and denuded forest lands and meet the raw material requirements of wood based industries by availing institutional finance from the banks.
Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited is one of the pivotal organizations of Andhra Pradesh, engaged in the business of Power generation. Apart from operation & Maintenance of the power plants it has undertaken the execution of the ongoing & new power projects scheduled under capacity addition programme and is taking up renovation & modernization works of the old power stations.
APGENCO came into existence and commenced operations from 01.02.1999. This was a sequel to Governments reforms in Power Sector to unbundle the activities relating to Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Power. All the Generating Stations owned by erstwhile APSEB were transferred to the control of APGENCO.
The Corporation was set up with share capital participation from the Government of Andhra Pradesh (Rs 150.36 lakhs) and from Government of India (Rs 50.00 lakhs) for promotion, development and marketing of handicrafts besides implementing schemes for the welfare of artisans.
The Mission of the Corporation is to formulate, organize, execute and implement the schemes for the needs of different Heads of the Department, in the Health and Family Department like construction of infrastructural facilities and procurement of Drugs and Equipment for Hospitals.

The A.P.Housing Board has come into existence with effect from 1.07.1960 under the A.P.Housing Board Act, 1956 by merger of the erstwhile City Improvement Board and erstwhile Town Improvement Trust of twin cities.

The A P Rajiv Swagruha Corporation is established on 9th August, 2007 under Companies Act, 1956 with an objective of providing affordable housing to the moderate income families in urban areas of the State under the scheme called ‘Rajiv Swagruha’. The scheme is an innovative, unique initiative of the Government one. It is self financed and demand driven. There is neither budgetary support nor the initial working capital given from Government. A.P.State Housing Corporation Limited (APSHCL) was incorporated on 5th July 1979 under Companies Act. APSHCL aims to bring dignity to each and every BPL family by assisting them, both financially and technically, for construction of permanent (Pucca) houses. The financial assistance is provided as per the various schemes of State Government and Government of India. The technical assistance is provided by the staff of APSHCL in the form the Technical Work Inspectors, Assistant Engineers, Deputy Executive Engineers and Executive Engineers. In addition, APSHCL brings innovative technologies in house construction. The Andhra Pradesh State Irrigation Development Corporation Ltd. has been established during 1974 as a State Government Undertaking with the objective to investigate, construct and commission Lift Irrigation (LI) Schemes, Bore wells, Tube wells and Infiltration wells to provide irrigation facility to upland areas of small and marginal farmers and other weaker sections of the society.

The need for providing rent free accommodation to police personnel by the State was recognized as far back as 1861 when the foundation was laid for the present police system in the country. This general principle enunciated by the first Police Commission was reiterated by the Police Commission of 1902 which attached great importance to the provision of ‘married quarters to every police officer of and below the rank of Sub-Inspector’. The National Police Commission also emphasized (1979) unequivocally that “the deficiency in housing and increasing hardship in paying high rents for private accommodation secured with great difficulty operates as the largest single factor responsible for grievous loss of morale in police ranks, particularly the constabulary. We, therefore, consider it a matter for urgency that this condition of service which has remained neglected for many years be taken up for immediate fulfillment.”
APSSDC was formed in the year 1976 with active participation by Government of Andhra Pradesh, Government of India through National Seeds Corporation & Seed Growers in the State.
